posted Dec 10, 2015, 3:49 PM by Eldorado Choirs   [ updated Dec 10, 2015, 3:49 PM ]
Dear Eagles,

We've almost made it! This will likely be my last email before the winter break. It has been one of the best semesters of my teaching career. I truly thank you for such a fantastic and beautiful couple of months. Have a wonderful break and we'll see you in the new year!

This email serves as a weekly update complete with upcoming event information, reminders, and pertinent information for choir members and their families. If you know of someone who is not currently receiving emails through our list serve, please see the 'Frequently Asked Questions' table on our website, www.eldoradochoirs.org or, notify our webmaster at web@eldoradochoirs.org

Please remember to reach out to any of our outstanding booster members with questions regarding student accounts, payments, or fundraising. Please also remember to utilize our website, www.eldoradochoirs.org, for the most up-to-date information. Finally, should you have any questions concerning the information contained in these emails, please first field your questions to your student, as they may have additional information not included in the email, and then contact myself or a booster member with your inquiry.

Zero Hour Next Week:
We will hold Zero Hour on Monday, December 14 and Tuesday, December 15, ONLY. There will be NO Zero Hour next Wednesday,Thursday, or Friday

Booster Meeting:
Next Wednesday, December 16 at 7:00 PM. The Booster Board will meet at 5:30 PM

Grade Check:
Following the submission of grades in early January, EHS Admin will conduct Grade Checks for the California Trip. All students traveling must be grade-eligible with; no more than 1 F, and a GPA of 2.0.

All State Prep:
All-Staters should be working on their music! Remember that all students must RE-audition on the evening of Wednesday, January 6, to ensure their placement in All State beginning Thursday, January 7. For more information regarding the schedule of events for the All State Music Festival, please see www.nmmea.com

"Open Gym" During Winer Break:
Several students have expressed interest in working over the Winter Break. I appreciate their zeal and would like to give students the opportunity to work with myself, our assistants, the tracks, risers, and mirrors if desired. Because I do not yet know on which days I will be available to open the building, we will treat such days as an "Open Gym" forum. I will alert you, via email, and those students in town, and able to come, may come during the timeline specified. These "rehearsals" are absolutely not required nor will any student be judged or marked down for not attending. It is not normally my policy to work over this break as I believe strongly that we all need time to decompress, rest, and prepare for the second semester. However, because we compete and travel so early this year, I am willing to do this!
