If you know of someone who is not currently receiving emails through our list serve, please see the 'Frequently Asked Questions' table on our website, www.eldoradochoirs.org or, notify our webmaster at web@eldoradochoirs.org

Please remember to reach out to any of our outstanding booster members with questions regarding student accounts, payments, or fundraising. Please also remember to utilize our website, www.eldoradochoirs.org, for the most up-to-date information. Finally, should you have any questions concerning the information contained in these emails, please first field your questions to your student, as they may have additional information not included in the email, and then contact myself or a booster member with your inquiry.

Forms, Fees, and Trip Commitment:
It's not too late! All choir students must submit all signed EHS Choir Forms as well as currently assessed Fees. Please see the website, www.eldoradochoirs.org, for all EHS Choir Forms as well as Fee Structure.

We will be traveling to the Arcadia Big Pow Wow in LA! We will leave the evening of Wednesday, February 10. Our return date has not yet been solidified but will be on either Sunday, February 14 or Monday, February 15Monday, February 15 is President's Day and we have no school! Additionally, Tuesday, February 16 is an Inservice and students have no school. Make sure to get your Trip Commitment Forms signed and turned in!

Choir Scholarships:
We are so grateful to our EHS Choir Boosters for organizing our Choir Scholarships! This is an outstanding way to award our hard working choir kiddos with monies to help fund their exciting year of choir activities.

If you wish to apply for a scholarship, please have your student fill out the form. They must all print out their grades from Synergy, get a recommendation from a teacher, and write a brief essay. Be sure and read the requirements before applying. The application deadline is September 25 (firm). Please put completed scholarship applications in the dropbox in the choir room. Interviews will be conducted on either October 15 or 22 from 1-3pm in the choir room. An interview schedule will be made once we've received all the applications. Any awarded scholarship will be applied to any of your student's choir fees including the spring trip as needed (it cannot be used for the class fee paid to EHS). The amount received is based on the number of applicants, the application, and the interview.

Solo + Ensemble Sign-Ups:
Solo and Ensemble is an event in which students sing memorized classical solos in front of a judge for comments and critique. The event is open to anyone. Students will be signing up for this event over the course of the next few weeks, during their Robed Choir class. Once the sign-ups are complete, the paperwork will be processed and all registered students must participate. Students participating will be assessed a fee to cover music and multiple in-class rehearsals with their accompanist. Students interested in providing their own music and accompanist will only be assessed the $5 entry fee. Solo + Ensemble is on Saturday, October 3 at Sandia HS.

All State Audition Sign-Ups:
NOTE: Unless otherwise excused, Solo + Ensemble is a prerequisite for All State Auditions! Auditions for All State Choir consist of: a cappella sight-reading, performance of memorized classical solo, and excerpt of the All State piece, "Shenandoah." The event is open to anyone but students must be prepared for the rigorous preparation process. Students will be signing up for this event over the course of the next few weeks, during their Robed Choir class. Once the sign-ups are complete, the paperwork will be processed and all registered students must participate. Students participating will be assessed a fee to cover music and multiple in-class rehearsals with their accompanist. Students interested in providing their own music and accompanist will only be assessed the $12 entry fee. All State Auditions are Friday, October 23, at UNM.
